Helpful measurements and terms to ensure your jewellery is the perfect fit. 

 

Necklace Length

Not sure what different necklace lengths mean? The chart below shows popular chain lengths in both centimetres and inches, and where each one sits on the body when worn. I use 45cm / 18in (often referred to as standard or princess length) in most of my pieces but I'm always happy to adapt the length for you to suit your personal style.

Necklace lengths are sometimes referred to by a name, some common ones can been seen below -

necklace lengths and their names. Choker 16 inches or 40 centimetres. Standard or princess 18 inches or 45 centimetres. Matinee 22in or 55cm. Opera 28in or 70cm. Rope anything over 34in orb 85cm.
